         When the Kachin tribe lives in Yunnan , the People's Republic of China , the Chinese calls the place that Kachin live is “Ga-Kiang” When Kachin or Jim-Phor have the trade cooperates with other tribes.

Often, have the other people asked that “ Where is the place that you live? Then Jim-Phor reply thatis they are Ga-Kiang people and with a slight difference from the original to Kachin. The Kachin word is to call the Kachin people since that time.
